Maria Ricketts

Director & Principal Financial Adviser

Maria Ricketts, the owner and director of Our Family Dynasty Pty Ltd trading as HR Financial, brings over 19 years of financial planning experience. After working in Brisbane’s financial planning industry for nine years, she moved to Ipswich in 2001. Over the next decade, Maria grew into a partnership role at a local firm, eventually shaping it into HR Financial as it stands today. In April 2016, she took over the business and has continued to lead with a focus on personalised, client-centered financial services.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Southern Queensland (2009), a Diploma of Financial Planning from the Financial Planning Association (2003), and a Certificate in Financial Markets from FINSIA (1997). She became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2015 and is an Affiliate Member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) as well as a Senior Associate Member of FINSIA.

Her specialties include Centrelink assistance for over-50s, budgeting, debt reduction, pre-retirement planning, and salary packaging. In 2011, Maria was honored with the Count Female Adviser of the Year award.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys motor racing, reading biographies, and collecting antique commemorative china. On weekends, she races in the SEKQLD Endurance Go Kart Series.
